46 Weeks Young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How big is Emily??  Sooooooooo big!

Seriously, where did my infant go??  This child is looking and acting more and more like a "big kid" every day, and I'm not sure I like it!  ;)

Speaking of, someone went on the "big kid swings" for the first time this past week while we were away for Easter and LOVED it!!!!!

Pure. Joy.  Mommy & Daddy had to get in on the fun too!

We also got to spend time with my grandma, Emily's GREAT grandma, and had so much fun!!

Four Generations:

We had a great visit with family, and made it home safely, albeit a day late.  Our original flight was cancelled so we got a bonus day!  We took advantage of the additional day by taking Emily to see the beach and ocean for the first time in her life!  It was pretty chilly, around 63 degrees and windy, so we didn't stay long -- just long enough to stroll the boardwalk, so she could see the ocean and sand, and of course take some awesome blooper photos:

We almost didn't make it to the beach because of course Emily decided it would be the perfect time to take a super long nap, which she never does, right when we had planned to go.  She took a 30 minute nap {her usual}, woke up and then immediately fell back asleep {highly unusual}, for another HOUR! {unheard of!}.  This kid sure likes to keep us on our toes.  ;)

This week Emily ate for the first time:  chewy pizza crust {liked}, fresh ham {hated} and hard boiled egg {ambivalent about the white part, but gagged on the yolk}.  Let's just say the pizza crust was the only food that actually stayed down...

We had a wonderful Easter, and an overall great trip {despite the flight delays & cancellation, and nap strike....} this week!  I'm going to do a separate post all about Easter because there are just too many cute pics to share, so stay tuned!

  1. Wow! She's growing up so fast! I can't believe it's been almost a year...time is flying! I LOVE the 4 generations picture, that is priceless! Emily is so lucky to have all of you ladies in her life, that is just awesome :) Sounds like you all have been busy lately, but looks like so much fun! It's so funny that Em went on the swings for the first time this past week, because A&A went on the swings for the first time about a week ago! They loved it! We've been in Arizona for the past couple weeks and have about 2 1/2 more weeks here -- they are getting to meet a lot of friends and family for the first time, so it's been fun. We drove, and they did impressively well on the road trip! Hopefully the trip home will go just as well....

I love reading all the updates you post and seeing all the pictures! I need to post some recent pics of A&A on Instagram so you can see them -- I usually post on FB and kind of forget about Instagram....I'm not super savvy with social media, lol. Have you started to plan her 1st birthday party yet? I just can't believe it's just around the corner!

So glad to see you all are doing well! Love seeing her precious smiles, she seriously melts my heart!

    1. Hi!!! So nice to hear from you!!!! Time is passing TOO quickly! How funny that Em and A&A tried the swings for the first time at the same time. I imagine it must feel soooooo fun to be a baby in a big swing -- kind of like they're flying! It must be so exhilarating!

Glad to hear you guys had a good trip to AZ and are enjoying your time there!!! I can't imagine being away from home for so long with a little one, let alone two! You are a rockstar mama!!

Thank you sooooo much for following and reading and commenting! I always love to hear from you! Am definitely going to keep an eye out on instagram for some pics of those cutie pies!!! Or email me some if you want to share! I bet they're both getting soooo big!
