Daddy is back to work as of today, so it's just me and my baby girl now! I'm working on getting her to sleep a little more during the day because on average she clocks in a few hours of sleep less than her pediatrician would like her to get each day. She's just so curious -- she wants to look around instead of closing her beautiful blue eyes! Today I've tried to keep the apartment lights off and the bedroom curtains closed to make it a bit darker when I'm feeding her, which seems to have worked a little bit. It's hard not playing with her as much when she's awake -- she's just so darn cute!!! I could stare into those eyes, tickle her, and talk baby gibberish to her all day long. But, sleep and health are more important than playtime with mommy. So far she's napped a bit longer than normal today, so we'll see how this plan works out.... wish me luck!
